  1. The 15th Internet Forum in Brazil (FIB15) met 26\u201330 May 2025 at the Fiesta Bahia Hotel in Salvador, with a record 197 workshop proposals (the fourth consecutive record) yielding 27 workshops, and three federal ministers at the opening.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Its headline act: CGI.br unveiled draft principles for regulating social-media platforms \u2014 nine principles spanning sovereignty, information integrity and transparency \u2014 put to public consultation (some 300 contributions later, ten final principles were adopted that August), alongside AI-and-culture debates and CGI.br's 30th anniversary.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Timed just before the UN IGF in Oslo and the year-end WSIS+20 review, FIB15 showcased Brazil's consultative route to platform regulation at a decisive global moment.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
