  1. On 5\u20136 September 2020 the fifth Youth LACIGF became the series' first virtual edition: the planned Santiago meeting was cancelled by COVID-19, and 76-plus young people from 15 countries joined four parallel language tracks in Spanish, English, Portuguese and French.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Four themes framed the weekend \u2014 online education and access, privacy and cybersecurity under COVID-19, online democracies after the pandemic, and disinformation and social media. A new Open Course replaced travel fellowships and fed graduates into the online LACIGF 13 the following week.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The forum turned crisis into expansion: going four-lingual formally welcomed the French-speaking Caribbean, and presentations hit a record 30.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
