  1. The 5th Finnish Internet Forum met on 26 May 2014 at Kuntatalo in Helsinki with about 90 participants \u2014 the first FIF after the Snowden revelations.<\/strong><\/li>\n

The English panel 'Quo Vadis Internet?' saw the IETF chair, the US State Department and an ICANN board member debate the IANA transition and NetMundial; the domestic track covered the incoming Information Society Code, cybersecurity, and digital-era privacy \u2014 the latter via a free-for-all with a 'flying' Catch Box microphone.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. As the opening address put it, a stable, secure, open and universal internet is an absolute necessity for an export-dependent economy: the forum digested the post-Snowden trust crisis in national-IGF form.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
