  1. The 14th Uganda IGF met at Kampala's Protea Hotel on 2 August 2024 under the theme 'Building a MultiStakeholder Digital Future for Uganda', the national echo of that year's global IGF theme.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Sub-themes spanned balancing innovation and risk, digital contributions to peace and sustainability, human rights and inclusion, improving digital governance for the Internet we want, and harnessing AI for social development.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. ACME used the forum to launch findings on how biometric digital ID programmes affect independent journalism \u2014 surveillance's chilling effect in a 'data-fied' world \u2014 while a separate series, the East African IGF, was hosted by Uganda the following month.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
